Some wag wrote that certain faiths focus on all saints, while Unitarian Universalists salute all sorts. I’d rather say all souls, but I understand the humorous sentiment. Indeed, a mature religion must be able to poke fun at itself, lest we take ourselves too seriously. Why are more of our congregations named All Souls than any other moniker? There’s good reason for it.
